The Rover 820 Fastback has a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder engine developing 100 PS. Traditional Rover luxury includes the hand-crafted burr walnut in the fascia; the adjustable steering wheel; and height and lumbar support adjustment for the driver’s seat. A screened glass sunroof and electric front windows are among the refinements.


The Rover 820e Fastback is powered by the Rover-designed M16e 16-Valve D.O.H.C. 120 PS engine. Subtle exterior hallmarks include the deeper front spoiler, and low profile tyres.
The Rover 820Se Fastback is still more highly specified. Distinguished from the outside by its wide 15 in. wheels, special wheel trims and coachline, this model offers the convenience of a power operated sunroof, and a superb stereo sound system. Four-speed automatic transmission is optional at extra cost.

The Rover 820i and 820Si Fastback models are fuelled by an advanced, multi-point fuel injection system. The 16-Valve Ml6i engine develops a maximum of 140PS. Acceleration from 0-60 takes 9.2 seconds*: with a top speed of 127 mph* (where permissible). Additional features on the Rover 820Si include burr walnut in the doors as well as the fascia. Powered by the 24-valve 2.7 litre V6 engine, the Rover 827 Si Fastback blends smooth power with impressive refinement. The electronic automatic transmission gives a choice of Sports or Cruising modes, for sporting driving or relaxed cruising.

The splendid Vitesse is the finest expression of Rover power and performance, Driving through a five-speed manual gearbox, the V6 engine has a 0 – 60 potential of just 7.6 seconds*, and a top speed of 140 mph* (where permissible). Alloy wheels, sports suspension and the Bosch anti-lock braking system are standard, whilst equipment includes a vehicle map and trip computer.
